First off I would like to thank everyone who came out on behalf of Superman's Sidekicks to help with the fundraiser. They collected over $500 and we had a great turn out!

We had a good night team wise. There was lots of competition for 1st and 2nd place. We even had a dance off for second place. Not to mention that our regulars who did the email question, all got rewarded. Superman's Sidekicks pitched in shirts for the others who didn't get a prize for the email question.

Last night's winners also had the best team name, Casey Anthony Swim Team. Followed closely (by only one point difference) were teams Last Minute and Knocks & Cocks.

So the dance off was very interesting.... The guy representing Last Minute picked the song for the dance off, Billy Idol- White Wedding. After the song started it became apparent he knew what he was doing though... Instead of dancing on stage, he worked the crowd. He ran up and down the aisles like a mad man and almost incited a riot from the crowd with his gestures of rockingness! Unfortunately, I feel the girls from Knocks & Cocks did not stand a chance... especially when they almost face planted the girl in the chair, just pulling her into view. Thankfully I got the hottest picture possible in the 10 seconds they were actively dancing.

I would like to close tonight's blog with the most epic fail of the night:

When I played Murder was the case by Snoop Dogg.... Someone responded by writing simply, Easy E! WTF!?!?!? EPIC LOL

It was a face off tonight. Always competing teams Unicorn dogs & "Just a shot away", finally got a chance to duke it out man to man.

That's right 8 rounds of eight questions a piece between 2 of The Barley House's best teams.

I want to say it was a real close one.... So, I will!

Both teams manage to get similar scores throughout the night.... Until the end, which is exactly all it took to change it up. In round 8 Just a shot away got devastated by Unicorn Dogs and both teams decided to Joker up on round 8, so that made it even more intense.

Another chugging contest was had for the email prize, this time we made someone hold Russ's nose shut in an effort to slow him down. Did not help what so ever.

All in all very fun and interesting night. Could have lived without hearing not just 8, but 8 crappy versions of the song downtown for a round, but I will let it slide tonight.

Last but not least, don't forget to come out next Tuesday from 8pm-10pm for our quiz for a cause and help support Superman's Sidekicks and their ALS fundraiser!

Barley House Meet Dallas, Dallas Meet The Barley House.... Now To The Back Of The Bus With You!

Hi, my name is Keegan Rose and apparently I'm a douche bag. Before last night’s quiz I had been ass hole free for 5 hours... by the end of the night I had made it 7! LOL

"Now get to the back of the bus"

I love twisting people’s arms to get them to play… Some unsuspecting stranger walks in just planning on maybe having a beer and then…. BOOM I got them sitting down with an answer sheet packet, a pencil, a visual round and no clue what kind of fresh hell of a roller coaster I am about to take them on.

That being said, Team Awesome and Bartab totally rocked it for newbies. They got their share of free pints and had a blast. I personally think they would be a fine addition to The Barely House quizzers!

Of course my top two teams were, the always awesome Unicorn Dogs and Just a Shot Away. It was a close race for them both the whole night…well except when they had a drink off for the email question prize…. That’s right! They both got it right, so I made them chug a pint…. Unfortunately for Just a Shot Away, Russ from the Unicorn Dogs can chug a beer like a fat kid can eat cake! LOL

Other than that, we had even more laughs because I brought my buddy Dallas to “help” out. He was going to tell the greatest Casey Anthony joke, but then he remembered that his mother would kill him if he told it in public.

Also, I would like to end the blog by reminding everyone that 9/27 is our first Quiz for a cause, supporting Superman’s Sidekicks.
