I'll be damned. We had a real race tonight. Some people apparently came out to quiz.

All told we had a great even tonight despite the Shazam using Chavs at the bar that allternated between mocking and playing the quiz. Wish I had a picture of sideways cap boy.

So, to the quiz. Amelia Aerhart was in space? Really? That explains where she went.

The G8 isn't that hard to come up with people? Is it? Really? And, for the record, saying "England" is like saying "Colorado" when you mean the United States. It's not the same thing and you better thank your lucky stars I have a soft spot for drunks. For the record, I draw the line at "Ingland"...WTF?!?!?!?

Tonight's best wrong answer award goes to the person (Patrick, we're looking at you) that answered "That lesbian 69 bitch that did zero dark thirty". Technically, you're correct, but it's not what I was looking for and I don't like the word bitch. So there. ;)

As for the French speakers, Arizona was an inspired answer. You've been to Quartzite in the winter, haven't you?

So, yet another busy night here at Blitz. Instead of competing for attention with games of pool, tonight we competed for attention with the ever present poker game and, curiously, found ourselves the opening act for a band that had been scheduled to start at 9:30...can we say speed quiz boys and girls?

Curiously, even a speed round didn't manage to keep everyone engaged. That said, Box of Rox, you all were shit faced. Fun and all, but shit faced. It's probably good you left when you did. I sense it could have been ugly.

I'd like to call out some of the funny answers and stuff, but penmanship wasn't really anyone's strong suit tonight. In fact, I found it pretty hard to decipher anything you drunks wrote. I'd have called you out, but I was too busy getting out of the way for the band to set up. Maybe jokes at your expense will come next week.

Usually, this is the time that I'd give a big shout out to our winners, but you losers didn't bother to stay for the whole game, so...screw you...no shout out and no prizes. We only reward teams that bother to stick it out for the whole quiz.

OK, I'll get off my soapbox. Tonight was fun (if disjointed and weird) and the band (The Blind Pets, if you're playing along at home) aren't bad, so I'm going to wrap this up and ruin my hearing listening to them.

Still, I had the most fun yet here at Blitz tonight and I get the feeling you did too.

It was fun to watch some of the very drunk teams drop in and drop out, but Jessica & Neil won our Sasquatch air freshener because they actually played the whole game (more or less).
