Kris had a tough childhood, growing up in white, upper-middle class suburbia.  At the onset on puberty, he was shipped off to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, where he excelled at pubescent activities until he found a greater calling...Geeks Who Drink.

(To be read in the voice of Howard Cosell) If you don't know who Howard Cosell is, rent the movie “Better Off Dead”.  It's freakin' amazing!

Truly, an amazing defeat.  Once again, Pride (In the name of Love) In the Time of Cholera)), formerly known as Billy's Shame Never Dies takes on all combatants on the battlefield that is Geeks Who Drink.

If this is poetry in motion, then Haiku is it's name.  Johnny Depp, the young upstart who may make it big one day in the world moving pictures, had a minor but integral role to play in this tale of Frederick Krueger and his insatiable desire to murder adolescents in their sleep.

As our vibrant intellectualetes progressed done the field of knowledge, they find themselves faced with our Lord and Savior in the form of rhythmic recreations of classic ballads.

The third level of aptitude challenging came in the form of a Gypsy with a large posterior.  Though her sacred vows to a juggernaut of the basketball court lasted less than 6 fortnight, her nasally ramblings provide humor and bewilderment for the masses.

Curdled milk is the topic of our fourth round.  Quite frankly, there is nothing more to say.

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has a storied past of pugilists.  Though fictional, many made the list in the fifth round of this evenings festivities.

The sixth round challenged the inebriated quiz takers to superfluous writing.

As we neared the final list of questions, our players were forced to recon with emotional audio segments designed to conjure that “certain feeling”.

For the warriors of words who made it this far, a plate full of randomness was their only reward.  Twice as many points were up for grabs, but it was Pride (In the name of Love) In the Time of Cholera)) who managed only two shy of a perfect round 8.  Kudos, Pride.  Kudos.

So, to all those Teams in the San Antonio area...you just got served.

Aside from Billy's Shame's prowess, I'd like to point out that fan favorite, Sharkbait, had an unprecedented 5 perfect Rounds.  However, his was still not enough to topple the juggernaut.

It was nice to see Gypos back in the Pub, though out of respect for “traveling” friends and the loss of a beloved vehicle, they are now Dolphin R.I.P.

Round 1 was a nice little journey down alphabetical lane, though it would have been cool if all the answers were also palindromes.

Round 2 apparently was not challenging enough for the crowd at Lion & Rose Sonterra.  As expected, 6 Teams decided this was their opportunity take an early lead by Jokering.  And while Yay Old People was number 1 at the first scoring break, their placement would not last.

Round 3.  The chicken or the egg?

Round 4.  No, I don't have a lisp.

Round 5 gave us some wonderful shots in the dark at a few minor celebrity mash-ups.

Round 6 took me to my happy place where lobotomies are free and Ed Harris is chasing a penguin with a mustache past the usual suspects.

Round 7...excuse me, I just threw up in my mouth a little.  Aside from that, Family Guy took care of the 3 big mentions of Poor Boy / Rich Girl romance.

And then there was Round 8.  This is particularly the area that Billy's Shame dominates and claims they will dominate you too  if you even think about showing your face at “their bar”.

So the Bugs Bunny glove has been removed, filled with an Acme brick and whipped across your face.  Do you dare challenge Billy's Shame?  Are you going to play it safe and stay in the minor leagues?

If you ever want to move up to the big show...Lion & Rose Sonterra.  Tuesdays.  8pm.

Billy's Shame came back.

They called it the resurrection, but it was more like a vengeance.

The heavy-hitters of the Team returned to remind everyone that they know more stuff than you do.

The Pros and Cons of the night were girl-girl action and Lion & Rose Sonterra being a respectable place.  You figure it out.  It was also the title to Round 1.  The very same Round Boobies and Balls is Back Bitches failed to remember that Australia was a criminal colony.  Until Crocodile Dundee showed up, then everything got nice.

Round 2 was an audio Round about phones and related topics.  People magazine's Most Beautiful Woman sang along with Lady Gaga and Ludacris did something or other.

Round 3.  All I have to say is “All my favorite Billionaires dropped out of Harvard.”

Round 4.  Clowns scare my older brother.  I find it funny.  Clowns also scared away some of the correct answers for our Teams.

Round 5 showcased some great obscure characters from 1980s cartoons and movies.  The girls didn't help because there were no My Little Ponies.

Round 6 was all about Transiberian Orchestra...I mean Transvaginal Ultrasound.

Round 7.  I don't like to hear Morgan Freeman cuss.  It's just not right.  He's God!

Round 8 was the end of many Team's chances when Billy's Shame: Resurrection scored 15 points in the Round of no mercy.  The only two Teams to hang tough were Yay Olde People and the greatest Team to ever play the game...Sharkbait.  Yay Olde People, you're pretty awesome too.
