Kris had a tough childhood, growing up in white, upper-middle class suburbia.  At the onset on puberty, he was shipped off to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, where he excelled at pubescent activities until he found a greater calling...Geeks Who Drink.

The Kids Win It!

Apps & Zerts were victorious in their long-time quest to defeat the otherwise undefeated C'mon Man (going by 'Well That Escalated Quickly' tonight).

Let's start at the beginning.

Round 1.

In the 'Nic of Time', no Team was perfect, but Sex Bob-omb, Apps & Zerts, Well That Escalated Quickly, Pendulum Speedo & The Banana Hammocks, Sharkbait Zero and Fo Quizzle My Nizzle were close with 7 points.

Round 2.

The Audio Round involving songs with European words or stuff had an unusual conclusion.  After revealing the correct answers, we hear a cry of celebration from the kids' table (Apps & Zerts), “Finally a song by 'Neutral Milk Hotel'!

Round 3.

10,000 is a lot of anything, and Well That Escalated Quickly was the only Team to score perfectly.

Round 4.

With a title like 'Groups and gangs...' there wasn't a single porn question?  Really?!

Round 5.

Excellent Round, because all but the last one were characters of interest.

Round 6.

What a tease this was for Timmy of Sex Bob-omb.  Only one 'Game of Thrones' question.

Round 7.

You can write 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' a whole bunch of times hoping to hedge your bets, but you have to at least write it on the line which WAS 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'.

Round 8.

As Well That Escalated Quickly (C'mon Man) poised themselves for their signature takeover of the number 1 spot, Apps & Zerts handed in an answer sheet with 15 correct entries.  The excitement ensued as the 'Kids' finally defeated their arch-nemesis.

Congratulations Apps & Zerts.  I might one day forget that you wrote 'Anakin Solo' as one of your answers for the Visual Round.  No...no I won't.

Kris had a tough childhood, growing up in white, upper-middle class suburbia.  At the onset on puberty, he was shipped off to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, where he excelled at pubescent activities until he found a greater calling...Geeks Who Drink.

But you don't always get what you want.

Round 1.

Twink Eating Cougars, Home Platos and Ramrod all had a good run at the 'Randy' Round, but it was those adroit fellows in the corner, C'mon Man, who kicked the proverbial butt with 8 points.

Round 2.

The challenge with the 16 point Rounds is when to Joker.  C'mon Man, throwing caution to the wind, turned in a Jokered answer sheet with 16 correct responses to the 1st Audio Round.  Up Next...Cinnamon held their own with 12 Jokered points, but the rest of the field waited to circle that goofy little guy.

Round 3.

Apparently, no one at the Lion & Rose Sonterra watches regular broadcast television anymore.  Apps & Zerts and Ramrod had the best performance on the Nielsen ratings.

Round 4.

As far as Prime Directives go, C'mon Man and Pendulum Speedo & The Banana Hammocks were stellar.  Sharkbait and I Can't Pronounce This were slightly less stellar missing two a piece.

Round 5.

The 16 point-worthy Visual Round threw some Teams, however, the botanist on Pendulum Speedo & The Banana Hammocks afforded them 15 points.  I'd brag about C'mon Man, but they're C'mon Man.  Twink Eating Cougars and Up Next...Cinnamon only missed a handful of correct answers, but the Twink Eating Cougars Jokered this Round, giving them more swagger.

Round 6.

Apps & Zerts (the kids) and C'mon Man (the old farts) only missed 1 'Before & After' question, but it was Pendulum Speedo & The Banana Hammocks who mashed all the right words in the right order.

Round 7.

Once again, the kids and the old farts proved they know a lot of useless but interesting information, however, his prowess was shadowed by Fo Quizzle My Nizzle's Jokered 8 points.

Round 8.

Six Teams waited to Joker until now.  For Pendulum Speedo & The Banana Hammocks, it was a strategic play.  For everyone else....well...

Congrats to C'mon Man, Pendulum and Apps & Zerts!

Until next time!

Round 1.  The Mystery Round.

The only mystery here are the board games 'Pandemic' and 'Dominion'.  A little dark, Milton.

What wasn't a mystery was C'mon Man Don't Let The Terrorists Win's score...perfect.

Round 2.

Let there be light.

Okay, we now have light.  Can we get some right answers here?

C'mon Man delivered 13 points, but Freezing Our Asses Off and Fish Tacos held their own with 12 and 11 points respectively.

Round 3.

Sooner or Later.

The older boys (Quizmasters who trained me) told me Sooner Or Later a Team would choose their name based on a previous night's answer.  System Of A Down Syndrome, along with Sharkbait managed 10 points on the Sports Hall Of Fame Round.  And just as System Of A Down Syndrome and Sharkbait get up for a victory lap, C'mon Man passes them up sparkles and a twelve piece band.

Round 4.

For the orgies alone, I really need to start watching Game of Thrones and I should be watching The Walking Dead because it was first a Comic Book.  On the Comic Book theme, I should have been an avid Big Bang Theory enthusiast when it first hit the airwaves.  And Mad Men keeps winning a bagillion awards, so you think I would have watched that too.  No.  I watched Golden Girls.  GOLDEN GIRLS!

Round 5.

Boobies & Balls & A Baby and Fish Tacos had a little trouble with the Visual Round.  Everyone else did really well.

Round 6.

Ninjas.  That's a topic every boy should be an expert on.  At least those who weren't good a sports and stuff.  Pendulum Speedo & The Banana Hammocks proved their American-bastardizing prowess of a mighty warrior scoring 8 karate-chopping points.  Apps & Zerts and C'mon Man weren't far behind.

Round 7.

This was a brutal Audio Round.  Everyone could describe what was happening in the commercial, but they couldn't remember what the commercial was for.  Final 4 Cougars Otters & Bears and Apps & Zerts showed the best performance with 7, while Fish Tacos did the worst with 2.

Round 8.

The great vindicator, or the great pain-in-the-ass.

Win Or Lose We Still Came matched C'mon Man's 12 points.  But Win Or Lose We Still Came did it with the help of a Joker.  I would chalk this one up to 'the great pain-in-the-ass' category of Random Knowledge Rounds.  It was a struggle as we finished out the evening.

By closing time, we had a threeway (giggity) tie for 2nd place.  As System Of A Down Syndrome, Sharkbait and Final 4 Cougars Otters & Bears prepared not to pull a hamy, two poor unsuspecting patrons of The Lion & Rose Sonterra were tapped to play Judge, Jury and Executioner.

Final 4 Cougars Otters & Bears were the first to be eliminated, but at least they left with their dignity.  System Of A Down Syndrome and Sharkbait, however, gave it everything they got.  The dancing was so good that I forget who did better, but I assure you it was more entertaining than Tony Allen's performance after Manu's flagrant foul.  “We Don't Bluff”?  Really Grizzlies?
