We had yet another great night of quizzing at Homfield Grill. We had a round on Reddit. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce Reddit to Round Rock. Reddit is like Facebook or Twitter but for hipsters. Hippers use Reddit the exact same way the rest of us use Facebook; make pages, post comments, and annoy there friends with their political views. You may say, “Why don’t hipsters use Facebook?” Well it’s because they are cooler then you, just ask them. If you don’t know what a hipster is, well that’s the guy you see downtown who dresses like a Timelord reject. If you don’t know what a Timelord is then what the hell are you doing here?
Let’s take a look at how the quiz came out. We had scores that were all over the board last night. I do have to say that everybody seemed to have fun. Taking third place bragging rights and winning the title Rockstars in Their own Mind were Hump Day Hat Trick. In the money winning the $15 gift card was Spoiler Alert: The Book was Better. Happy to see some loyal quizzers take home the prize. Holding on to the winning streak was Chocolate Subway and Marshmallow Overcoat taking the $25 gift card and the win yet again. BAMF!

We had yet another great night of quizzing at Homefield Grill last night. We had some competitive teams and I love that. I just wanted to say that I am an American and as such I have never been taught other languages. Well last night’s quiz was filled with phonetic spellings of various geographic locals from around the world. All of which I am pretty sure that I verbally butchered. I have enough trouble with English and living in Austin doesn’t help that at all. I mean we pronounce Manor as MAIN-er and Guadalupe as GWAD-a-loop this combined with America being number one in education (What!? 17th you say!) well needless to say I had a hard time of it.
So let’s see how the quiz came out. Winning the bragging rights for way more than just third place was The Baby Sitters Club who recently ran a marathon in Houston. I don’t even think that I could ride a Segway for six miles. Good job guys. Taking second place (yet again) were the Narcoleptic Necromancers. These poor bastards can’t seem to fight their way out of that second place spot maybe next week guys. Taking first place in a round eight one point upset was That’s What She Said who are turning out to be a force to be reckoned with every week. So I hope to see everyone back next week to defend your titles. BAMF!!

We had an awesome quiz at Homefield Grill last night. I really tried to start some drama but they were not having it. I noticed that The Hooligans had eight people near the end of round two so I delivered the sad news that they could split up or play with no joker. They were super cool about it and split up into the new team A2J2. Then quickly made answer sheets for round one and two just from the questions they could remember. It came out after round three that A2J2 were only one point ahead of The Hooligans. I was excited! I went out to tell them and tried to drum up some awesome Sharks and Jets type rivalry. Sadly they were having none of it. What’s up with you people for loving and caring for your friends and family? This is no nice evening out. This… Is… PUB QUIZ!!!!
Let’s see how the quiz came out. Our third place team was some new folks by the name of Free Drinks for Everyone; I hope you guys had fun and come back next week to take advantage of those bragging rights. Winning the $15 gift card, which is good because I know they suffered a recent loss of a vampire (long story), was Hobo Ranchers. Taking first place after a week off was Mayday!
