What a well executed comeback that was. Too bad I can't say the same for tonight's pub quiz, which was dominated by Hey Brosef from front to back. They owned it; no one else came close.
The competition is slowly becoming fiercer here at RF O'Sullivan's, though... in a month or two you'll need to come strapped.
And for all you un-Americans out there, “strapped” means “carrying a gun.”
No Geek Out this week. The future is now. Bring your iPhone to the land of ever after.
See you crazy crackers next time.

Just cause he wasn't actually short doesn't mean he wasn't HARD AS SHIT. But come on, man, don't invade Russia. Charles XII couldn't do it. Hitler couldn't even do it, and he had tanks and shit. America stayed the hell out of there throughout the entire half-century of the cold war, and I'm convinced that's the only reason we're still a global superpower.
The Breakdown:
The Knicks Fans and Dammit, Bears! were neck and neck fully through the first half of the quiz. It was only after acing the FLILFs round that the Knicks started to shine through. Their anger at not being able to watch their team fueled their passion and they won where Melo failed. And while those NBA pussies need to play seven games per series, here at GWD we don't fuck around like that. Win or go home.
The Comic Relief:
What former NFL player was recently offered $75/game to play indoor football? “Aaron Rodgers (NOT)” is.... actually kinda correct. Thanks, Tico Gringa.
What's the name of that Melissa Etheridge song? Oh, right, it's “I like having sex with women.” Just like all her other songs. Thanks, Dammit, Bears!.
And thanks to Allan, who sucks (among other things) the host over at Tommy D's. Allan, you gotta do whatever makes you happy. Ryan, I didn't know you were into that.
And to ye who shall remain nameless and whose visual rd. answer sheet is pictured at left.... really?
The Geekout:
If any of you actually ever want to geek out with me about the future shit that I love to geek out on so much, this forum is future-geek central. I love it. If you don't, that's too bad, because I have a microphone and you don't... SO YOU WILL LISTEN TO EVERY DAMN WORD I HAVE TO SAY!
The Everything Else:
Nothing else. Stay frosty, kids. Till next time.

...we just haven't created it yet. We'll get there, don't you worry.
The Breakdown:
Where all the White Women at? Thought they had it, but they spent the second half of the quiz searching for white women instead of answering the questions correctly. They lost their lead to Box Full o' Tacos in the before & after round. And behold, a duo shall take all the marbles. Job well done.
The Comic Relief:
The Best Answer of the Night Award goes to Summer of George. The African dictator from “The Last King of Scotland” shares a before & after question with a disease that comes in 'swine' and 'bird' varieties: “Forest Whittaker Flu.” Man, that's the worst one.
The Geekout:
Futurists hate it when people bitch about not having flying cars in 2013. But soon we may all be able to get along. Geek out with me for a minute.
The Everything Else:
That's all I got fer ya tonight. Your friends are nice. Bring your enemies next week.
