Last night we got things re-booted at O'Brien's and had a great two rounds of quiz. Two teams of bar regulars manned up, and we got through round 2 before we had to call it. The team that did play for two rounds, Cunnigal, came out of the gate strong, with a 5 pointer in round 1 and a strong ten points in round 2. Pretty impressive for a two-person team!

Next week I'm hoping you folks spread the word and we can get all 8 rounds of quiz madness going--not to mention some pictures of you lovely people!

Thursday night at O'Briens was a a total laugh fest and an incredible party for the ages. The party atmosphere started early as teams rushed in just for the Geeks Who Drink pub quiz, and the quiz itself started promptly at 9. Denny was your host, and he just had the most spectacular and enjoyable time asking the questions, giving the answers, playing the music, and passing out in the restroom. With more than a little help from Gerry, Denny somehow made it all the way through the quiz without any major injuries or property damage. The thrill a minute quiz at O'Brien's was a nail biter for sure. The second place team pulled ahead in the final round and upended the team that had been leading since the earliest questions. The audio round tonight consisted of identifying the top 40 song being covered by a high school marching band, and the seventh round audio haunted us all with ghosts of talking toys from our childhood. While everyone seemed to have a blast at O'Brien's, your lovely host Denny went home to screaming nightmares about Teddy Ruxpin in a bloody political debate with a Speak And Spell. RUXPIN 2016! All in all, it was an amazing and fun night at O'Briens, surely the most favored destination ofanyone wishing to enjoy an evening of pub quizzes with their friends from Geeks Who Drink. Cheers!
