Oh my gosh! I'm back again.  My second night at JT's Bar and Grill.  Not exactly a stellar turn out the second night, but oh did we have fun! Tonight we learned a lot about vegetables and also that people have a very hard time determining Will Ferrell's voice or remember his multitude of "duo" characters.  That's okay, there's always next week.  It's never too late to brush up on those fine masterpieces of film.

Also, why the hell haven't any of you seen "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" I don't give a shit if it "came out before you were born" that is literally the dumbest excuse I have ever heard.  And also, like I said earlier this evening, who raised you?  Your parents must have awful taste in films.  Sorry, but it had to be said.  

Since I usually give "fangirling" homework to some of my other quizzer's I'm going to give you all some homework as well.

I'm going to call it The ESSENTIAL FILMS TO WATCH THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE FUCKING WATCHED AS A CHILD, BUT OBVIOUSLY YOUR PARENTS HATED YOU AND SO YOU DIDN'T list:

WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT? (obvs); The Labyrinth, Neverending Story (I and II...don't bother with III unless you want to see a SUPER young Jack Black), Little Monsters, The Dark Crystal (and basically anything else that Jim Henson's studios had a hand in), Legend, Willow, FUCKING STAR WARS (only episodes III, IV and V obvs), The Princess Bride and Rocky Horror Picture Show (yes, there are incredibly adult themes in this movie, but I think my mom let me watch this when I was like 10 and I'm clearly better for it.) and the Goonies, duh.

Okay, that should get you started. There are plenty more, but I'm just so concerned you haven't seen these it hurts to think of any more.  Honestly, if you haven't seen these films we probably can't be friends and you clearly want to be my friend, so get to watching.  

This probaby needs to be said that if you're a good parent your children will have seen these before they reach adulthood.  You don't want to fall into the same hole as your parents and make your child a societal pariah do you? Didn't think so.

Welp, that's gonna do it for this evening.  I actually fell down the stairs to my apartment on my way home this evening so I really need to tend to my wounds.  Please report back next week after you have watched some of these films and become a real person.

Okay, I should probably drop that analogy at this point...  Anyway, tonight was my very first night hosting Geeks Who Drink in Milliken at JT's Bar and Grill and I have to say I have high hopes!  It's in a cute little town and has friendly staff.  Yummy food and a great atmosphere for quiz!

Only two teams showed up tonight for the Geeks premiere, but there is some serious potential so I hope to see more of you out next week! I'd really like to get to know more of you!  If you're reading this, help get the word out! I think we could make this quiz the next big thing in Milliken! 

Well, I don't have a lot of clever things to say this week because we just met, but don't worry... I will.  I can't wait to see all of you next week (BRING YOUR FRIENDS!) and hopefully once we get to know each other we'll have a lot more to talk about.
