I started coming to pub quiz all the way back in the summer of 2011. My friends and I would hop around between Little Woodrow's Rice Village and East Downtown, but we hardly ever missed a Tuesday Pub Quiz. When I heard that Geeks Who Drink was hiring I got drunk and sent a strange, poorly filled out application form to Geek Headquarters in the Rocky Mountains. After a grueling tryout proving that I was literate, I was given my own Little Woodrow's in the Heights. A short time later, the Geeks that be said, "Clayton, you're so good at Quizmastering that we want you to do a second venue. This company would litterally crumble without that soothing voice penetrating deep into our quizzer's earholes." Now I host on Tuesday nights at Hendricks Pub. I am quite funny, tall and the ladies (read: my mom) always tell me how handsome I am.

Hello Everyone (Even Jews),

Thank you guys for coming out to our last pub quiz before Jesus' birthday bash. I heard she (that's right) is going to have two kegs next week to celebrate. We will not be having pub quiz next week due to the Pagan holiday.

I want to remind you about Geek Bowl. Tickets are still on sale and I want to have a large Houston contigent there. It is in early February, and you can find more details here.

Congrats to Fun Tunnel for grabbing first prize and a $25 gift certificate for That Pizza Place, Bad Beats for coming in second and winning the $15 prize, and How The Grinch Stole Pub Quiz for coming in third and winning nothing. Congrats to Brian for nailing the e-mail bonus question and winning the storied PICKLE LOLLIPOP!

Thanks for coming out! We are off next week, but we are on for pub quiz on New Years Day.

Hey Party People,

Thanks for coming out to That Pizza Place tonight. It's not the size it's how you use it. That's what my doctor says anyway. For serious though, we had four teams come out and the game stayed really close all night.

A few notes on the top:

  • Anna Kournikova isn't gay
  • Pittsburgh is not in Philadelphia
  • Illinois starts with an I

One apology, not putting Harry Connick, Jr. in the audio round was likely an oversight. Don't worry, everyone else wrote that too.

Thanks for coming out despite the rain tonight. There were no egregious errors tonight giving me very little to go on. However, I am a professional. I was able to make this shit entertaining. I helped you go home and roll over on your significant other. My sultry voice has that power. You're welcome.

I try to put one overtly sexual tangent in all of my blogs. Go back and see for yourself, the proof is in the pudding. 

We had a pretty close quiz tonight. Little Lebowski Urban Achievers finished in first place and won a $25 gift receipt to That Pizza Place on Ella. The Best Little Whorehouse on Ella bested Bad Beats in the tiebreaker to take home second place and a $15 prize.
