Hello everyone out there. The first week of the second year is in the books and it's already started out strong. We had a team hit 94 points tonight. So many rounds were high scoring too. This was better than watching whomever was playing hockey on the TV above my head (which came in useful for the hockey question)
Here are a couple things that people should know about me. I only believe there is one football and that is the football that the Green Bay Packers play. If you kick a round ball down the field and most of the games end in ties, I will be completely bored and uninterested. When the World Cup was out a few years back, I wanted to shove vuvuzelas up everyones asses who had one. It's a boring horn for a boring sport. If you like it, that's cool...it's your thing but please don't get pissed off because I can't be bothered to care if the I in FIFA sounds like an e or an I. You obviously knew what I was talking about. You're just splitting hairs.
Speaking of boring things, Brad Pitt is a terrible actor. Have you seen the movie Se7en? When he shouted What's in the box over and over again at the end, I cringed in pain. Not because of what was in the box, but because of how bad the delivery of the lines were. The only actor that could have done a worse job is Marky Mark. Also, Brad Pitt doesn't bathe. He's pretty gross.
Speaking of gross women. Have you seen Renee Zellweger recently? She looks like her face got hit by a truck. Now, I realize some people may find her style to be beautiful, but I'm not one of them. I also think Sarah Jessica Parker looks like a horse. I only bring up Renee because someone mentioned her and I hadn't seen a recent picture. I'm pretty sure she's what would happen of Gollum had a baby. I'll take my women more on the Mila Kunis or Christina Ricci side. If I'm going for a blonde, I'll take Drew Barrymore.
Now for something a bit more serious. Sometimes people come along and say just a few words and they move you. Tonight I had a team by the name of Radio Active Nipples. One of the people on the team is a breast cancer survivor and was given a clean bill of health. She's just been pumped up so full of radiation from chemo and such that her nipples are now radioactive. People like that should be celebrated. People who don't use disease as a crutch, but look at it as a challenge to be a better person. The constant reminder that life is not a cesspool like we all like to make it out to be, but a place where dreams can happen. One of my very dear friends is also a survivor of breast cancer. In order to pay for her treatments, she started to make amazing voodoo dolls as well as earrings and other jewelry. While she is still a struggling parent, this has given her some extra income for all the medical bills that have come in. Not once did she give up and quit life. No one ever tells her that she can't do something, because she will just prove them wrong. People like these two women are true inspirations to everyone. The fighters, the people that have their bad days but don't let it turn into a bad week. People that have had actual adversity to overcome, and not the bullshit most of us go through on a day to day basis. People that deservve my utmost respect. Keep up the good fight, keep positive, and keep being the change you want to see on this planet. It's not unnoticed.
Until next week...congratulations to Baked Mac and Cheese and So Trivia for 1st and 2nd place respectively.

What a great night tonight. I absolutely love this job. I was brought on as a Quizmaster a year ago and it's completely changed my life for the better. It's the first job I've had where I look forward to going to work every single week. I don't like to have to miss a single day, even if it's for something fun. Do you know what makes this job so much fun? The great people that come out week after week to listen to my jokes on a microphone. The people that are sad when I do have to miss that random day. The people that look to me for their entertainment. All of you guys. Tonight was no exception at all. You guys make my job incredibly easy. You love to have fun, and you have damn good taste in music.
Enough of the babbling about you guys. Tonight we had a lot of fun. I gave away a ton of stuff for you too. I think every team walked away a winner tonight. I had for extra prizes some gift cards to Starbucks, Coldstone, and Regal Cinemas. There was also a visa gift card and 3 sets of concert tickets. Add the two beer flights I gave away, the regular bonus beers, and the pint glass filled with an IPA from Avery and you all made out well tonight. On the flipside to that, the scores were the lowest I've ever seen them. The problem when so many things are 50/50 you tend to guess wrong. The odds aren't really in your favor. I did learn some interesting things about my Mother today. My quizzers have met my mama at a motel 6, and apparently she puts ho hos and twinkies in her twat. I also learned that the token black girl is an acceptable answer. Rule of thumb, if you don't know the answer then at least try to make the Quizmaster laugh. We really do appreciate it. You guys were on fire tonight.
I want to say one last thing before I close this blog down. We lost something today that was very dear to our society. Angelina Jolie had a double masectomy. It's a shame she wasn't in our round 5 today. I'm going to have to put on Gia or 70% of her earlier movies to enjoy those one last time. May her breasts rest in peace. ($20 says Brad Pitt leaves her in the next year or so) In all seriousness, I hope they got the cancer.
Congrats to So Trivia and Baked Mac and Cheese for coming in 1st and 2nd place respectively tonight. It was a hard fought battle for 2nd, but like the Highlander there can only be one.
Thank you all for an incredible year.

Tonight was an interesting night to say the least. Immediately after giving out the rules and starting with question number 1, some asshole decided to shout out the answer, to which I had to remind him of the rule I just finished saying less than a minute beforehand. This was followed up by one of the staff not realizing we started the audio round and accidentally shouted out an answer because he loved the song. Which was later followed by someone else shouting out Honey Boo Boo when that question was read. Usually this isn't an issue, but tonight people felt the need to shout, and after the last person shouting out an answer there was silence from everyone. It's simple, don't be a dick and shout out answers. I will have to stress that even more next week. Enough of the shitty part of quiz, lets talk about the awesome part of it (which was pretty much all of it)
Tonight we had a round that went over better than any other round I've ever had the pleasure of presenting. Porn for the blind. I am so thankful for this non profit organization out of Cambridge, MA for ensuring that blind people can enjoy porn in the most non erotic way possible. I truly hope that Big Sausage Pizza gets even more business. Hell, you get a sausage whether you order it or not, and in the classy style of a trick theater handjob, the delivery guy shoves his dick in the box to give the person who opens it a surprise. I just hope there's no cheese on that sausage.
Angus Jones from Two and a Half Men found Jesus. That's not as shocking as Two and a Half Men somehow being on the air for close to ten years. How in the hell did Jon Cryer get any acting job after being in such great movies such as Hiding Out and The Waiter. Sure he was in Pretty in Pink, but lets be honest. No one watched that movie for him, it was all about Molly Ringwald and that great Psychedelic Furs song.
Next week is our 1 year anniversary celebration at Teller's. I'm going to have a lot of extra prizes to give away, more free beer to give you guys, some gift cards, and even the gift of live music. You will not want to miss this. Tell all your friends. Let's pack the place to capacity.
