Well, nobody calls me that, really. But they should for the above reasons.

I host karaoke on Tuesday nights, and I'm afraid of porcelain dolls! I know, I know, those two things probably didn't belong in the same sentence.

Okay, so maybe that was part of a drawn-out drunken rant, but it was one of the sweetest drawn-out drunken rants I've heard in my years as a Quizmaster. I felt the love, guys, and it felt real good. Thanks for making my night, Ja-boozers!

What does it take to win? A big ol' fluffy dog. Just ask team Drunk Deadbeat Rapey Dolphins, the winners with a shaggy ringer on their team. Make note: the fluffier they are, the more quiz smarts they've got. Know any Labradoodles? Heck, bring 'em to quiz! Maybe a Labradoodle would have known that the Titanic was the second heated pool in maritime history, and you wouldn't have gotten that question wrong.

Anderson Cooper coming out. Surprise? No. Disappointment to a young Quizmaster who loves watching/hearing the news pour out of his wizened, crimson lips? Definitely. Oh well, I've always got more news correspondents to drool over; Palin's back!

Yowza, what a crowd-za! Thursday night at Jabu's Pub was full of pretty faces-- some new, some familiar, some that I haven't seen in a very long time. It was nice to quiz you all, Ja-boozer's!

In a rare turn of events, I had to break out a Sudden Death Round to establish the winning team of our First Place Tie. Getting four correct answers (over their competitors' three), team Tijuana Donkey Show edged out over runners up (and general badasses) team Bar Bitches. Congrats, Donkey Show!

I'm sure you'll get 'em next time, Bar Bitches. You guys are the Terminators of pub quiz. Yeah, that's a compliment.

A quick clarification on that There's Something About Mary question: the beans were above the frank. That doesn't change anything points-wise, but a quizzer wanted to make sure that everyone knew. Knowledge is power!

I know I'm black, but that doesn't mean I always have clearance to drop the N-Bomb. If Brad Paisley & LL Cool J taught me anything with their new single "Accidental Racist", it's that there's still a lot of tension behind that whole sitch.

It also taught me that Brad Paisley and LL Cool J are idiots.

What a Thursday night! Maybe it was the beers, or perhaps it was the almost excessively admirable notes left by team Bastards Against Midget Rape; either way, I was feeling great.



Also, just so we're clear, I'm on the same page, guys: midget rape is not okay with me. They've got the same rights as everyone else, just jammed into a slightly smaller package.

Winners Bar Bitches had a trick up their sleeve. The trick: knowing a whole bunch of stuff. They even knew one of the movies featuring a fictional president from Round 8, which was approximately one more than most other teams knew. Congratulations, guys!

Well, off to bed-- I MEAN a really exciting adventure. See you next Thursday!
