May 16th, 2012 - The Lunchbox Laboratory
Snarky Shark is Still Alive!
However, I'm beginning to suspect that the Sun has vaporized some people in Seattle.
We are, after all, mostly made of water...but I digress.
Tonight we had 4 teams, and everyone walked away with a prize!
The Game started out with Mahna mahna taking a commanding lead in the Audio Round, Know Your Place, but could they keep their throne?
The Rat Pack and Tip Your server! had a strong fight for 3rd place pitcher and the 4th place prize, but what could it be?
In the end, Camel Toe Rodeo came from behind and seized First Place! This left, Mahna mahna with 2nd place and shattered hopes...
The 3rd Place Pitcher was won by The Rat Pack and Tip Your Server! walked away with a Lunchbox Laboratory Lunchbox, for 4th place!
Well played everyone!
What they know at the Lunchbox Laboratory:
Small Phallic Objects
What they have no idea about:
Ellen Page movies
I'm wondering about that combination myself...
Will the usual quiz-participants condense into the game, next week? Will they discover the elusive booby-prize? Only one way to find out, Next week! At the Lunchbox Laboratory!

First of all, Tolstoy did not write Crime and Punishment. TOLSTOY did NOT write CRIME AND PUNISHMENT. I know it's a shorter answer and it's easier to spell/say out loud... but making things easier is not the point of this quiz, if anything, it's to make things as difficult as possible. Like, Dostoyevsky difficult.
Also, something to keep in mind for future use... I'm pretty sure that common sense would tell you that a terrorist group wouldn't name themselves after a 'fun' month like something in Summer or Spring... think doom and gloom, people, think of September, the onset of cold and darkness in every year. Also, not every animal in Africa is a honey badger. They've got like, literally tons of stuff over there.
Backing up a little bit... last night, Cejay and I sub-hosted the quiz at the Lunchbox Laboratory and I have to gush a little bit... that place is SO COOL! I'm really glad we got the chance to go there; you all were a seriously rowdy and fun group and the wait staff were just so darn sweet and after the quiz, Cejay and I were finally able to settle who is better at arcade-style Tetris and then got to try out the food we'd heard so much about. That was, for reals, the most delicious Dork that I've sunk my teeth into and eaten whole in a while.
Girl, Drink, Drunk sure had a lot of fun yelling all night, and while everything they yelled out were intentionally wrong answers/sarcastic remarks, they freaked me out a little when they loudly proclaimed that the question about the setting of Crime and Punishment was a 'trick question'... because, it kind of was, seeing as one of the options was Leningrad, a place that didn't even exist yet at the time that the book was written. I was all like WHOAH, HOW DID THEY KNOW? But the answer to that question was, they didn't, they were just being jackasses.
Camel Toe Rodeo I felt was a very misleading team. They didn't have any girls in their team, thus no camel toes, and they didn't even have cowboy hats or clowns with them. Also, I didn't realize that Periodic Table Dancers was such a popular team name and Cejay and I both thought for a second that our Tuesday night quizzers by the same name had followed us or something... I was already thinking about what I was going to include in the report for the restraining order before I realized that it was just other people, with the same name.
Overall, I was really impressed with how seriously this group took the quiz; everyone was out for blood, the slightest discrepancy over even one point set everyone into howler-monkey mode, and the Senior Circuit and Mostly 35 and Under have a deal where the loser of the night between the two has to show their butts to the camera. And this is the group of quizzers who couldn't name both of the great apes that humans are most closely related to.

May 2nd,2012 Lyunchbox Laboratory
The night started off with a whole room of people who had no idea thatthe Mystery Round was about Shakespeare, even after the answers were given. For Shame, Lunchbox Laboratory...
The crowd was relatively clueless about Celebrities: Gay or Dead.
still, they managed to redeem themselves with Current Events andtelevision. I'm concerned as to what that means...
In the end, Hot Lunchbox stole the lead and walked away with 1st place.
Will they settle the score with a dance off or wil they always sneakto snipe the lead? Who is the mysterious quizmaster this next week?Only one way to find out: Next week! At the Lunchbox Laboratory!
