Hello!

I started playing quiz with GWD at the Maple Leaf Pub. I heard they were in search of quizmasters and decided to audition. I am quite the social butterfly. so I figured: meet new people, free booze, and quiz. What more could a girl ask for?

By day, I am a middle school Industrial Technology Teacher- yes 12-14 year olds and power tools. I'm an Aggie (WHOOP!), a dog lover, and a scorpio. My favorite color is purple and one day I hope to venture to Costa Rica, Italy, and Australia. That's me in a nutshell.

Well we had another night of modified quiz and once again THANK YOU for being adaptable. All of my regular teams are completely Kick Ass! By this time next week, b-ball will be done and we will return to regular quiz.

Tonight's quiz consisted of Foreign Movie Posters, State Nicknames, Chris Rock or Chris Tucker, Aenough is Aenough, and of course Random Knowledge including hybrids, family ties, Camp-y movies, and RICE.

First of all, let me say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being so adaptive! With NBA finals on last night, we had to rearrange and cut, but it worked in the end.

On the subject of the NBA finals, here is where I'm posting my own personal rant. This morning I woke up and checked out the facebook and apparently, some people had a problem with the little boy who sang the National Anthem because he was hispanic and wearing a mariachi outfit. There is a tumblr called public shaming that did a whole thing about it. I'm sorry, I thought this was 2013, not 1900. We are founded by a melting pot culture and if you even know one thing about San Antonio, it is that they have a high hispanic population. That little boy had an AMAZING voice and was proud to represent his heritage while glorifying this country and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

And another thing, to the chick in the black dress who not only wrongly corrected my pronunciation of Danke Schoen, but then felt the need to shout out all Wilson Philips lyric answers multiple times even asked nicely and not so nicely to stop and then made a complete ass of yourself by yelling out Guatamala as an answer for a portugese speaking country, I hope you are happy with yourself. You publicly shared how much you do not know and that you are so starved for attention that you don't care if it is positive or negative attention. I normally have to have this conversation with my junior high kids, about differentiating between positive and negative attention but I guess nobody explained this phenomenon to you. Grow up, its not cute, especially on a grown woman. 

So quiz tonight, we only had 5 rounds. The visual got you throught the first half of the game, which y'all rocked! All teams got 8/8. Then like a madwoman I spewed 3 rounds at you during half time: Better Halves, Recently in Stuff, and I have a history of losing my Shirt. After the game we rounded it out with some random knowledge.

Once again, y'all are awesome!

Last day of school!!!!!!!! I cannot even begin to express how happy I am that after today, I have no more children until August!

R1 - We got things done in the "Nic" of time

R2 - Our Tour de Europe was dominated by BMW-MT

R3 - In honor of GWD acheiving 10,000 fans on FB, we had a 50/50 round for 10,000, dontcha know!

R4 - Of all the groups, gangs, and cliques, my favorite from the round is Mystery Men, hands down!

R5 - Y'all rocked this visual. I guess you know your character kiddies...

R6 - Game of Thrones, Throne of Games, Kingdom hearts, its all the same

R7 - RPGTV - Yay for 8 bit anything, Sorry you cannot choose incest at the moment.

R8 - Random Knowledge - Egypt, Madden, Gazpacho, Ken Jeong, and mountains.

Loved all the new faces this week! Don't forget about Rumble in the Pub and the Game of Thrones quiz this saturday!
