They say that lightening never strikes the same place twice. That might very well be true, but two double overtime sessions in two weeks to determine second place isn't lightening. And if it were, consider PJ's struck. When it was all done and said Team Koes employed their extensive Pax Britannica knowledge to edge out Zach Attack and take the coveted second place prize. In first place this week was Lamp. Can I say finally? I mean, clearly I can say finally it's just a word. Finally.
A few highlighted rounds
Round 1: Duh asked questions you knew the answer to, whether or not you knew it. Question not asked: What color was Little Red Riding Hood's Hood.
Round 2: Mythbusters or Ghostbusters. Who you gunna call? Personally I'd call mythbuster Adam Savage. Only because he's a real person and not a character, and therefore way more likely to answer my call.
Round 4: Things girls compare your small penis to. Props to Zach attack for posting the only perfect round of the evening on this round. I would not be so brash as to suggest it would have anything to do with personal experience on the subject, but damn 8/8 is nothing to laugh at. Unlike your small penis.
Round 5: She likes it from behind. Pictures of animals’ buttocks. In color. Number 7 kind of looked like my sister's face.
Round 7: Paging Ellen Page. We all know Ellen Page has an annoying voice. Team NRM found her voice so annoying they simply refused to answer the questions. Respect. Nobody was able to identify the clip from Peacock. No Michael Lander fans?
Congratulations to your usual quizmaster Brandon on the birth of his baby Logan. Logan hasn't seen Peacock either.

It was a high scoring affair this Wednesday at PJ's. We had several former champions doing their best to take down the bar tab. Ultimately Engineering Disaster had a dominating round 8 to win it. Not that the quiz was without some drama though...
We had a tie for second that needed two overtimes to settle. Despite the crowd clamoring "Dance-off! dance-off!" our combatants Lamp and Zack Atatck opted for sudden death questions and when that didn't work we went with the old Rock Paper Scissors tiebreaker. Nice job, Lamp. I told you guys last week you were close to a win and much like my other predictions, it came true.
What other predictions have I made? I knew our quiz night would grow with the careful use of awesome drink specials and deeply discounted apps. We had 10 teams once again (T- All time). I also predicted everyone would love Ken Jennings reading round 6, and I'm pretty sure everyone did.
Thanks to Team Ramrod for coming in and playing late... I love it when that happens. You didn't start until round 6 and still almost moved up the scoreboard. That's impressive. I hope you can come out earlier next week you are worthy competitors.
So anyway, See you all next Wednesday!

Tonight was bittersweet. Sweet because we had 2-dollar domestic drafts and bitter because we had out first heckler. But then it was sweet again when all the quizzers rose up like a mob in search of a reanimated monster and ousted the doofus that kept yelling "Your Mom!" for no apparent reason. But then it was bitter because we bid adios to our friends Quarter Life Crisis, regulars for the past several months while their job kept them in Syracuse. They will be relocating to St. Louis. We'll miss them! The Ostrom Sluts are also moving on, graduating this month. Have fun in grad school!
But then it was also sweet because my friends Zack Attack! they'd like me apart of their wedding. Just that they'd consider letting me be a part of such a special day is pretty amazing. If you'd like Geeks Who Drink to be a part of a special day, we do private events!
We had 10 teams (T-most all time) Zack Attack took down second a third time (Most all time @PJ's) and some awesomely bad answers. Everyone was sure about "Pour Some Sugar on me" and guesses for the original artist included ACDC and Lead Zeppelin.
Our winners were All Fuckin' Good, they lead scoring in 7 of 8 rounds. Nice work.
Special shout out to Lamp. You are steadily climbing the scoreboard. Don't lose faith, I believe in you!
n+s and dumb and dumber made a nice sign and they are generally awesome. I love when people come back to the quiz, we're slowly growing our quiz family and we will soon take over the CNY area.
See you all next week 8pm!
