Alright fans of The Hamilton Inn! A new quiz sensation is sweeping the Jersey City Nation. Of course, I'm speaking of the fact that a new team won quiz this week, breaking a streak going back over a month now. Welcome to your new quizzer overlords Super Duper Awesome; may your run as champions be as long as your bar tab (which must have been pretty long, judging by the empties on your table)

You know who DIDN'T stay long? Team That Left, who I named based on the fact that......they left. They did alright for the 3 questions they were there for, and the couple Russian people they recognized.

We had a lovely poetry session, followed by song about Jesus, or as I like to call him, The Big Jeezy. It was moving, and then the crushing realization that we live on a world which is imperfect set in as we had a round on Kim Kardashian. Not too big a deal, as a round on love themes brought us all back together. Single tear.

Big props to all the teams, who stayed in it until the end, especially WTF 4 Realz, who I roped into participation 5 minutes before we started, and managed to come in a very high scoring fourth place, with only two people (one of which I am told, was useless)

A little bit of mist kept many quizzers away, maybe the quizzers here at The Hamilton Inn are allergic to water, Wicked Witch of the West Style.

Where the Wild Things Were took first again! I think it's been three weeks in a row now, but its getting the point where I think I'll just stop keeping track. Won't someone come and unseat them? We can do it! (And by 'we' I mean 'you guys.') Once again, their win converged with a Devils win, resulting in a perfect night of winning for their quizzers.

Even though Where the Wild Things were took first without a huge challege this week, the beer bonus questions have started getting very heated. With almost every team sending their fastest writter up right next to me, the jockying for position has started to become quite fierce. Keep it up, but save some of that fire for, I don't know, getting the NORMAL questions right? It could work, thats all I'm saying.

We heard a lot of great ska covers tonight, ask me for the song list next week if you want it! See everyone next week!

One of my favorite parts of quiz at The Hamilton Inn is the fact that we usually have half regular quizzers, and half new quizzers. Nine times out of ten, the new quizzers do a real good job being competitive (misuse of jokers notwithstanding)

Tonight was one of those nights, as all new teams were in it to win it. None of them ACTUALLY won it though, that honor went to Ferris Bueller J's Off. That makes it two weeks in a row, and three of the last four! I chalk it up to their diverse team makeup. If you're coming to quiz with one friend, and that one friend likes the same things as you, winning is tough. Push your boundaries! I believe in you, Yes, you, you reading this blog. I am telling you to make more friends, and bring them to quiz. This is like homework. Especially if they are attractive, then I agree twice as much.

Osama Been Losin' is a regular team that didn't do as well as normal this week. This is due to one third of their team being blitzed. I approve of this 100%

If I didn't have to walk past protesters yesterday, Occupy Hamilton Inn (Trivia is the sport of the 1%) would have reminded me that with spring, comes protesting in NYC. I take offense at being called part of the 1% however; quizmastering may have granted me the abilty to afford luxurys that I exude today, but I/we am/are a welcoming person/people. I will allow any part of the great unwashed masses to take part, as long as they aren't smelly. Or hippies.
