Hey Party People,
I make a really bad single parent and I've only been doing it for two days. My wife is out of town on a business trip and I was thinking about the great time I'd have as my house gets turned into a bachelor pad. Then, I remembered that I have kids. Holy cow, they are a lot of work. I had to race home to Nampa to feed them and then download the Quiz and race back out the door in 45 minutes. Needless to say, I didn't bring my "A" game to the Quiz.
The kids have some alone time after school and before I get home. It's fine as my oldest is capable of taking care of my youngest but I have no idea what they did to our Itunes. Upon putting the music and audio rounds on my Ipod, it told me that my device was no longer authorized for this computer. It gave me an old email and asked for a password. With a frozen pizza burning in the oven and the clock ticking, I didn't have time to play Password. I transferred the songs and moved on. At least, I thought so...
During round two, I notice that the songs I was playing weren't matching up with my answer sheet. Then, to my horror, I realized they were the songs from Monday night's Quiz. CRAP! My heart sank. I quickly looked up the answers from Monday and wrote them down. Plus the theme from Tuesday kinda worked for the music round. Then as I was going through round three, I look at my Ipod for round 7 and yup, they were also from Monday night. CRAP! I prayed that no one was at the Monday night Quiz and would realize that they were repeats. Flop sweat started as I panicked and then slowly realized that no one said anything. Success! Sometime those acting classes pay off.
We still had some big scores on the night, even with the mess up from my computer and Ipod. Bon Jovi's Prince Albert had a great score but was omitted from winning the big prize as they had 7 players at the table for most of the Quiz. A moral victory for them. So, by default Chic-fil-a-tio took home the 1st place prize. Even when they finish second they finish first. First World Problem Children won 2nd with our Lost fans, 4-8-15-16-23-42, receiving 3rd.
Congratulations to our waitress Keira who found out this past week that she is pregnant with her third child. We wish you the best and from me to you, never leave your husband alone with the kids for more than two days. Good luck to ya.
Thanks to Johnny Moist and The BedWetters for joining us late. Now, I get to play a game I have not played since I was single, living in my own apartment. It's called, "find the smell"
I'll see you next week or later

Hey Party People,
Just a quick note tonight as my hockey game went into overtime and it's very late. Yes my team lost and I'll be shaving off the playoff goatee in the morning. Plus, I have to work the day job early tomorrow and I've been zombie Jeff on Wednesdays. Time to get some sleep ASAP.
First, thanks to the 12 teams that came out to Quiz tonight. It was nice to take over the bar with all the playoffs on the TVs. We had Basketball and NHL playoffs. Some Quizzers even showed up with their jersey (JIM!). Just because we're geeks doesn't mean we don't watch sports. Thanks for the support and I hope to see the new team back again for another shot at the crown.
Our funniest answer of the night was BackDoor Sluts IV. It showed up several times. Once for a Anna Paquin Oscar performance and another for a kids educational show. Wish I had that when I was growing up. Forget Reading Rainbow and The Electric Company.
I actually googled Backdoor Sluts IV. I sure hope my wife or kids don't look through our internet history. Going to be tough explaining that it was research for work. Turns out there isn't such a movie. Just Anal Virgins IV. I found a porn site and watch some of it but I got lost with the plot. Maybe you have to see the first three in order to understand. Turns out BackDoor Sluts 9 was mentioned in South Park and is a real porn movie. Looks like I have more research to do tonight to recover from my Vancouver Canucks getting swept by the SJ Sharks. Sure hope there aren't any scenes with midgets spanking girls covered in 1000 island dressing. (look it up. You know you wanna)
One of our closest Quizzes in recent memory. Our final victory was won by one point. Wayward Bread Tabs beat out Cleveland Hide And Seek All Stars. They was some protest as to the difference between rutabaga and turnips. Gilded Livers finished third.
Overall, great scores by several teams. Nap time for this tired guy before a turn and burn back to work. Good luck/skill on your finals. I'll see you next week or later

Hey Party People,
WTF? I take a week off and upon returning to my duties as Quizmaster, I get one of the slowest nights in recent memory.Where's the 14 teams that we usually have? Looking back on the day, it was a bad day overall. I made no money and got a $25 parking ticket. Also, there just wasn't anyone out and about today. The Ram-Boise was full of dudes that were more interested in the playoffs on the screens than the Quiz in the room. I hope your favorite sports team lost. (that's the parking ticket frustration talking)
Truman covered for me as I spent last week in sunny California. I enjoyed his blog on Jena. She is a great server and a very nice person and I'm sure she deserves a detailed blog, but I can't write it as I am a happily married man and enjoy sleeping in my bed instead of the dog house. Thanks Truman. I enjoyed my first vacation in…um…forever.
The Quiz started off with some douchtard at the bar shouting random things at me but he was put in his place and smartly decide to watch the bubbles in his beer.
We had, realistically, five teams. Team PV joined us extra late and only played the last three rounds. Then there was HBSF who played one round, scored a zero and left us for the evening. So we were down to five. The issues was the team that normally wins, had 7 players, so they were disqualified and were playing for a moral victory. Plus, we had the house team who can't win a prize. Technically, we had three teams playing for three prizes. Hey, Everybody is a winner.
Slow day at the day job but I did have a nice hour break between, joining Quizzers Anna and Paul at the Singer/Song Writers association's open mic. Had some bourbon and listened to live music. Thanks for the open Tuesday invite. I hope we can do it again.
Bourbon before a Quiz is not a good idea. (insert quote about Romulan Ale)
Everyone had fun and I'm sure we'll get back up to our usual numbers in the coming weeks, cause you really don't wanna study for finals, you want to play for free beer.
I'll see more of you next week or later
