Tonight was the second week at Pint in the 'Month of May Win Kindles For You Team Challenge!!!!!(tm)' Skip to the bottom if you want the results, but you can read this first! Yeah! It's going to be great!
Listen everyone, I am a professional. I get paid to do this. In cash money as well as tasty fishbowls. That's why sometimes, I gotta put my foot down! That Shakespere question? I am right. You were wrong. Lets accept it, grow, and move on. It MIGHT have been the fact that a non-professional quizmaster Ken Jennings read round 6 that made ya'll ready to rebel but stay the line. Just trust me on this.
Last week the audio rounds were too extreme, so everyone got a taste of the opposite. Audio rounds about Jesus and cute animals! This is what happens! Feel free to cast your votes below. More extreme or 'untreme' audio rounds?
OK, here is what you REALLY want. Here is the current May standings!

You know the old saying "April showers bring May Kindles?" No? Is this just a Pint thing?
Well, if you're not down with the lingo, get with it, because this month at Pint, the top scoring team for the month will score Kindles for their quizzers. Yes, thats right, a kindle for each player (up to 4.) If you're not good at quiz, use your charm to score a spot on a good team. Do whatever it takes, I won't judge you. Even if I DID judge you, you'd be all like "Sorry Justin, did you say something? I was too busy reading on my new Kindle that you don't have." That would shut me up for sure. You sure showed me.
8 teams took the field, trying to get a good lead. Where is Russell? won the day, but only by one point! Seriously, look over there at the scores. Everyone is still in it. With four quizzes left to go, I wouldn't be surprised if some quizzers went down with 'mystery injuries,' Nancy Kerrigan style.
Oh right, the quiz. We discussed the works of the Bard a little, before rocking out to remakes of songs by guys with sore throats...... I mean, guys who are extreme. We discussed world events, then talked about gay people, dead and alive. We rocked out again, this time to Inspector Gadget dubstep. Most of all? WE DID NOT ADJUST FOR INFLATION.
Round one in the books, see everyone next week! Until then, be awesome, be xtreme (2 da max) and don't adjust for inflation.

With three 16 point rounds comes high scores, and adding that to the fact that the Quizzers at Pint are oh-so-good regardless, VERY high scores was the result of tonight's quiz!
A perfect joker on a round two had Kanye Kardashian (shuddering at the image) well ahead, but a jokered 14 point round 5 by O'Trivia Newton John meant that this was no barnburner. Leg Drop Soup kept pace round to round, but using their joker on a 9 point round left them trailing.
Last Place failed in their goal, coming in fourth, and while Jack Sprat Ate No Fat and Funny Name followed them up, there is no shame in not placing among the top teams when you're playing by your lonesomes.
Super Fierce left, so there's that.
I hope everyone loved the NFL Draft before and after round. Those are always fun, and even better in cases like this. Even if you don't know a lot about football, if you get a player's first or last name thanks to the other clue, a light bulb can go off in your head to help finish the question. That being said, Bill Couch wasn't a first draft pick.
Recently, Firefly/Serenity questions have popped up week to week, we'll have to see what the recurring subject becomes in the weeks to come. If you haven't heard 'Games without Borders,' let this be a lesson to you, as it was Deja-vu all over again in tonight's round two.
I scored myself a rubber duck disguised as The Penguin from Batman, Kanye Kardashian did much better than the real two would've done if they ever came to quiz, scoring himself some sweet cash, and a mix of everyone else got some drinks without hurting their wallet! If that's not a successful Wednesday night, I don't know WHAT is!
Til next week Quizzers!
P.S. Yes, Dick Clark is America's Oldest Teenager. Whoops.
