What a fun place Trifecta is! I was very happy to be filling in for Jeavon this week. The food was delicious and the company was great. I did feel a little like I was in time-out facing that giant pillar, but I got the hang of it. Just glad it wasn't a corner.

Round 1 was very simple in hindsight and most of you got the 'duh' answers. Round 2 was a wolfy audio round. I applaud the efforts of the teams that wrote down Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; that was a clever guess. Alas, Prokofiev composed Peter and the Wolf. Round 3 was probably pretty confusing unless you are a fellow matriot. Reddit is a strange and wonderful place in my opinion.

The second half of the quiz seemed to go by quickly. Round 4 was all about borders and Round 5 had you guessing movie posters based on a silhouette. The satanic round 6 was full of funny facts, mostly that Moby's soul is worth $41. You guys did know your accents, or movie quotes as well with the majority of the teams getting all the Fauxmerican actors.

Shout out to 14 days! You ladies rock and good luck with those last two weeks of teaching. Congrats to first place Barefot Bacchanal on Dirty 6th with your giant ten point lead! Following them in second and third place respectively were Box Office Hitlers (my favorite kind of Hitler) and Well duh!

Let's Hug and Let Things Get Weird

After taking last week off for finals, it was wonderful to be back in the quizmaster saddle. I really did miss you guys. And to top it off, it was a beautiful evening with a perfect little gentle breeze. I wish we could have just had one giant group hug the entire evening, but there was a quiz to be had. And you guys had it.

While there is no better way to start off the evening than with a round on fat guys, no teams had a perfect score - which is quite unusual for the first round. Round 2 was similarly squirrelly, with a high score of 12 and low of 1. I guess we all just figured that Captain Planet would be too busy saving the planet to create such a diverse playlist.

The United Whatevers of Wherever round handed me the opportunity to butcher the names of places all over the world, but you guys still managed to get something out of it and did fairly well. Round 7 was not so kind, and even though I played through the selections three times due to a weepy baby, most teams struggled. No Ronalds Please nailed Round 8 and came out of nowhere to take the top spot. Second place went to the lovely 50 First Date Rapes and newbies Chuck Ramsey's White Hoes took third.

Here's to letting things get weird on Wednesdays all summer long!

Tonight I filled in here at Trifecta on Third. This was my first time going to this little corner bar downtown know for it’s pizza and locals. I had big shoes to fill tonight as the sub for the multi talented Jeavon. (good luck on the finals)

We had several fun and awesome teams out tonight, although we had one team of awful lymie fucks. Let’s look at how awful Brits Abroad were tonight to not only myself but also the staff here at Trifecta. Several times throughout the quiz I had to stop one of their team members from messing around with the sound system and equipment. The most unforgiveable sin of the night was their poor treatment of Shanini & Melissa, the staff here at Trifecta. Yelling at the staff to hurry up is not the way quizzers should handle themselves. Topping it off at the end of the night with their bill over $40, they left a grand total of ZERO TIP. This is my book place them at a level of vermin that is lower then pawn scum. Brits Abroad you guys are cum guzzling thunder cunts.

Looking to the rest of the quiz there were several fun rounds. Round 3 was about musicals and it got a strong reaction from the teams. At the next scoring break many of the teams sang along with La Vie Boheme from RENT. Tonight we also had a round on all things butt sex. Boy o Boy you guys know your butt sex inside and out.

Did you see that one law and order where the DA got a DUI won some candy cigarettes for having the best team name of the night. Auto correct is my new worse enema cleaned up tonight with wins of two bonus questions, the email bonus and 2^nd place prize of a $20 gift card. Even more impressive she was a one woman team. Our 1^st place team, super clamp…you know like the one that you cant cure, jumped out early and never really looked back.
