I'm a private school debate coach, video game nerd, conoseur of fine intoxicants, and overall Alex Trebek wannabe.  One time I killed a man just to watch him die.  I like to spin some mad quiz and if there is a trophy/validation/glory on the line, chances are I'll watch it, compete in it, or host it.

Alas, my last quiz at Lee Harvey's... at least in 2011.  We go back online come the Spring, but until then, there will be no questions at the Lee Harvey's.  Well, there will be one- who is that drunk woman who kept yelling the 'your mom' jokes during the rhyming round?

Everyone could work with the word wok and all but one team pulled a perfect 8... Chaz Bono's Peg Leg, I'm looking at you.  We re-ran the greatest hits of Snoop Dogg, and by greatest hits, I mean songs he's ashamed to have been a part of but clearly demonstrate that he will whore his voice out for the right price.  This went well for all but the Crocoducks who took the round off to offer some hilarious song substitutes.  Sadly, no points for making me chuckle, just my unduying gratitude for some levity in an otherwise depressing onslaught of music.

In an ironic twist of naming fate, Smupets dominated the round on Muppets.  We Dallas quizzers had a clear advantage on question 4.  Cuz ya know, we live here.

The Round of Random Crap settled an otherwise close race.  We're Gouda but We Could Have Been Cheddar/In the Lead lost some ground after a mid-game 1st place standing, but came in fourth.  Kudos to the two person team Smupets for finishing third, Big Booty Hoes for taking home the Silver, and The Creepy Finger for winning the gold for the fifth consecutive week, despite having to split into two teams! If this were old school Jeopardy, I'd send you on your marry way with a brand new car and tell you never to come back.  Instead, you will be our returning champions next season on Geeks Who Drink- Lee Harvey edition.

Remember- Geek Bowl is coming up in a few short weeks.  I'll see you there!

Brrr… it’s cold out here.  There must be some quiz in the atmosphere! I said brrr… it’s cold out here. There must be some quiz in the most atmosphere.  O E O E O… quiz, quiz, quiz… It’s almost like the weather made time stand still, or in the case of some rounds, move backwards.

I apologize, once again, that I had to play a song clip from the Beiber.  But quit yer yappin- y’all knocked that question up.  And then you denied that you ever knew it.  As you should.  As he did.  An arousing hazzah that we all knew Mario’s Time Machine was released on the SNES!  A shame for any of you who bought the game. Refunds will not be provided, but remember to save Nintendo Co. from bankruptcy by getting hooked on Skyward Sword this weekend.  After you finish Skyrim, of course.

We relived some celebrities getting BOOM- ROASTED.  Although, I’m ashamed the clip about Bob Sagat never mentioned his Oscar-worth appearance in the Aristocrats.  Most def his best showing of any film he’s ever been in.  Which is a mercifully low number of films.

Despite bageling the knotted visual round, Creepy Finger untied their way to a fourth consecutive win, with Smupets taking home second and Crocoducks finishing third.  Remember to buy your Geek Bowl Tickets and get ready for the Austin smackdown.  And all January, we will quiz off for the DFW Championship- details to follow.  No quiz next week for Turkey day aka Happy Manslaughtering of the Natives Day.  We pick it back up on December 1 here at Lee Harvey’s.

I'm seriously just killing time until Skyrim comes out. Thankfully I have this blog thing to write and stall me from replaying Final Fantasy 13 to kill the time.

We had a great time tonight and even picked up some newbie quizzlings along the way. Big thumbs up all around on the double-or-nothing fake bands round- the Weird Sisters from HP4 are always a classic. The overall performance on the round about makes of Honda lead me to believe that the Buy America campaign is working, cause y'all clearly ain't shopping foreign. Besides, we all know that Hyundai has Honda whipped. Elantra forever!

Rammstein's penis. That's all I'm saying. It made an appearance. If you were there, you'll remember. And you'll never forget.

An epic showdown at the top of the leaderboard with one point keeping Crocoducks from dethroning the now three-time champion The Creepy Finger. Both teams have eagerly accepted the DFW Metroplex quiz throw-down against the folks from Capital Bar and Buffalo Bros. Mark your calendars- late January all are welcome to trek to Fort Worth for the metroplex championships- a couple nights out West, a couple nights here in D-town. It's a great build up for Geek Bowl.

Aight, it's midnight somewhere and I got shit to do. That shit is also known as slay dragons.
