Sorry to miss you guys last week. Geeks Who Drink was starting our first game in the glorious empire of Beaumont and needed me to go there and launch that bitch with style and panache which, of course, I did. Katie was kind enough to fill in for me here while I was rocking that motherfucker to the ground and I appreciate you not eating her alive while I was gone. I promise, I'll never leave you guys again, well, until next time anyway.
R1 tonight was a Recently in Stuff round. I've been doing these a lot more frequently lately in hopes that it will inspire you to check in and be engaged in what's going on in the world around you. Either that plan is paying off or you happened to fall asleep with CNN on the TV cuz scores were pretty good here. Congrats to There are Dozens of Us…DOZENS!, Quiz in My Pants, MFn Crimestoppers, and Angelina Jolie's 3rd Golden Globe is Safe for kicking us off with perfect scores tonight.
R2 was an audio round that was just A Lil Bit Gay. Ok, the Village People are actually more than a little gay. Lady Gaga might be more than a little gay but, honestly, I don't want to think about that too much. Quiz in My Pants who rocked this round like a circuit party, grabbed 15 points and posted a rare R2 joker.
R3, Misc. Conceptions was on common mistakes. Yes, all violins are fiddles, you can argue if you like but this is a true statement. No, the Liberty Bell was not made in America, it was cast in England. Attention Miss Morrisette, THAT is ironic. Also, Jesus never said "neither borrower nor lender be," unless, of course, he was quoting Shakespeare who is the one that gave us that nugget of wisdom. Quiz in My Pants, There are Dozens of Us…DOZENS!, and O. J. Ate the Evidence all led the round with 7 points mostly accounting to the fact that no one knows what the capital of Vietnam is.
R4 brought us FLILFs! That's like a MILF but it's a First Lady. Now, I'm all down to get some Michelle Obama action and I'd bang Jackie O just to see the apartment, I might even give Nancy a grudge fuck if she dusted the cobwebs off of it but who, really, is thinking that Hillary belongs on a FLILF list? yick. Although, I did appreciate this round's lack of Laura Bush who has the sexual appeal of a shitake mushroom. Congrats to There are Dozens of Us…DOZENS! and MFn Crimestoppers for posting perfect scores here.
R5 was on Celebrities and their Charities. Just match the celeb to the foundation they started. No surprise that Micheal J. Fox started a Parkinsons foundation or that Lance Armstrong started Livestrong but who saw it coming that Charlize Theron started the Charlize Theron's Africa Outreach Program? Actually, everyone should have. Congrats to MFn Crimestoppers, Angelina Jolie's 3rd Golden Globe is Safe, My Sofa Pulls Out But I Don’t, O. J. Ate the Evidence and Don't Look Now but You're Getting' Fucked for bagging perfect scores here.
R6 was Muhammads and Alis and went ok. We did discover, though, that even though I've asked it before, no one knows the fucking capital of Sudan. I got, Alibaba, Zanzibar, Benghazi, Cairo and Vienna as answers which, again, makes we wonder if you guys have even ever SEEN a map. Quick, write this on your hand: The Capital of Sudan is KHARTOUM. There, now you'll never forget. Quiz in My Pants wrote on their hand last time and were able to grab a perfect score here.
R7, ZooTV, was theme songs from shows with animals in the titles. Easy Peasy! Scores were great here as you guys seem to love shows like Spider-Man, The Monkees and Josie and the Pussycats but only Heywood Jablome knew The Squidbillies which helped them tie Don't Look Now but You're Gettin' Fucked for the lead with 7 points.
Add in the Random Knowledge and last-minute jokers of R8 and you've got a GAME!
Congrats to There are Dozens of Us…DOZENS! for a big last-minute rally to win the night, snatching victory from Quiz in My Pants who had to settle for 2nd. MF'n Crimestoppers grabbed 3rd tonight with Haywood Jablome grabbing the TBall award.
Hope to see you all again next week for more fun, more prizes and MORE SHENANIGANS!

Thank you all for coming out tonight. I’m sorry Gene couldn’t be with us. A few months back he purchased a Groupon for an anal rejuvenation service, and it expired at midnight. Soooo… Gene had his asshole bleached and there was a small downtime. I checked in with him. He’s doing well and can’t wait to show you all his sparkly white eye.
In other news, turns out some of you had a more interesting childhood than I. When I say “Name that Television Show” and you write down, “Debbie Does Dallas!” the former psych major in me worries. Now point on Barbie where the bad men touched you. (Maybe a Hermaphroditic Barbie? Thank you for that team name by the way! Holy hell.)
What else? Oh! Game of Thrones quiz. It’s happening soooooonnnnn! Go to geekswhodrink.com, click on the banner that’s an inch smaller than Chyna’s clit and check out the deets.
We had some winners. In first place were the Mfn Crimestoppers. In second was Quiz in My Pants. Third place honors went to I Don’t Understand the Question and I Won’t Respond to It. Congrats all! Gene will be back next week. I promise!

No matter how much I waved that Jackson in his face, he just wasn't bringing the juice. You'd think, being his birthday and all, he'd been a little more lively or at least cried a little like they do over at Treasures. Happy Birthday Sexy Marco, go buy yourself something nice.
We had a great game last night with FOUR 16 point rounds! That's HUGE! With that many points up for grabs, it's totally possible for one or more teams to break 100. Let's see how it went.
R1 was a simple round on Colors. As long as you knew that the main character of The Wall was Pink and that Sherry and Teri's hair was purple, you were pretty much golden in this round. (see what I did there?) Excuse Me, Do These Effectively Hide My Thunder? and Team Unicorn knew and bagged perfect scores to get started with a bang.
R2 was an audio round of Mashups. All you had to do was tell me the two artists being crammed together on each clip which, OF COURSE, means that all you really knew were the two song titles, right? I hate it when that happens. The NIN + Carly Rae Jepsen mashup should have sound familiar since I play that one in my regular list during R8 every fucking week. You may hear the Johnny Cash/Michael Jackon or Coolio/Glenn Miller again as those both rocked. Forget it Jake. It's Vaginatown led this round with 14 points and threw down a joker to make it stick.
R3 was a Sooner or Later round called Character Assassination. I give you a list of films an actor died in and you tell me the actor's name. Do it in three clues and you'll grab two points each, wait for five clues and you'll only get one point each. Almost everyone turned in the sheet at the first call do to for the double points. Could have been cuz you were confident with your answers, could have been cuz I asked who had the balls to do it and you couldn't step back from a challenge. We'll probably never know. It went really well over all, though, with Quiz in My Pants leading the round with a perfect score of 16 but NO JOKER. WTF? Is that going to bite them in the ass? Probably.
R4, The Beating Will Continue Until the Anagrams Improve, was a round on famous dictators. Well, I said 'famous' but based on your answers, I suspect their notoriety does not extend to this room. For fuck's sake, I GAVE YOU the anagram, just unjumble the letters! For the record, "UN's said he's mad" does not anagram out to "Osama Bin Laden" and "One top US CIA thug" does not equal "Che Guevara" no matter HOW badly you misspell it! Quiz in My Pants is down with the jumble and bagged a perfect score.
R5 was the visual round on Herb…not the ones you smoke but the ones that homos put on top of food to make it look more fancy and shit. That's what's great about the homos, they always make things seem more elaborate and flamboyant than it needs to be. Sometimes it makes me want to set myself on fire. Apparently we've got some homos in the house OR someone's been on gardening recently as scores were pretty good on this one. Congrats to Aggies & Frenchmen, It's Sexy Marco's Birthday Ladies…and Dudes, Quiz in My Pants and Team Unicorn for spicing it up with a perfect score.
R6, Rubbing One Out, was a round on Genies. I don't know if it was because you were all thinking about masturbating but the scores weren't as good here as previous rounds. (Maybe if the round HAD been on masturbating it would have gone better. Dirty monkeys.) I guess, really, it was Wishmaster and TV Funhouse that gave teams the most trouble and rightly so as they were both mostly forgettable. Congrats to Without KY We're Going in Rough! for rubbing out a perfect score here.
R7 was double-point audio round on Comic Book Villains. I played a clip from a comic book movie and you could grab one point for the character's name and one point for the movie' title. Everyone flexed their nerd muscle and THREW IT DOWN for this one. No team was under a double digit score and Quiz in My Pants bagged a perfect 16 and FINALLY used that joker.
Add in the Random Knowledge of Round 8 with no one still holding a joker and we've got a game! In the end, Quiz in My Pants mounted a HUGE rally to come from behind but missed the 100 mark by one point. Excuse Me, Do These Effectively Hide My Thunder? grabbed second place with 87 big points, followed by It's Sexy Marco's Birthday Ladies…and Dudes with 83.
Thanks to everyone who came out tonight, I really do enjoy seeing you guys week after week.
