Geeks Who Drink helps events not stink.
Clowns are for kids. Deejays are corny and loud. And party games make guests feel awkward. The friendly competition of a Geeks Who Drink quiz breaks the ice, brings the laughs and makes any event unique and memorable.
Wedding rehearsals and showers, birthday parties and family reunions, corporate events and conferences, bar mitzvahs and funerals -- whatever event you are throwing, Geeks Who Drink can tailor a quiz suited to your needs. We've hosted events with as few as 15 guests and as many as 250. You give us your vision, and our expansive archive of questions fills your requests. And our rates are reasonable. No, really, they are.
Even if your guests aren't geeks who drink, our quizzes appeal to a broad audience. By the end, Grandma will know the joy of shoving the right answer in junior's face - "Gershwin!"
Here is what past clients have to say about our private event quizzes:
We have used Geeks Who Drink for several months now at our private club and have loved the quizmaster that they provide. The members look forward to seeing him each Trivia night and address him by name. They really make trivia not only fun, but also add their own personal touch to the trivia experience!

We brought in Geeks Who Drink to host a quiz at a companywide corporate event. The staff worked with us on the question selection beforehand – we even had a round of company trivia – and were very responsive to our questions and needs. We had nothing but positive comments from everyone who participated for both the trivia quiz event and our hosts – and it served as an excellent team building activity for our staff. Everyone is still talking about it around the office months later.

Geeks who Drink hosted our annual summer party; we had a great time! The Quizmaster was fun and entertaining and the questions weren't impossible, but just difficult enough that we had lots of spirited debate going on among our teams. We'll be doing it again next summer!"

What a wonderful way to spend a Thursday afternoon by having some drinks and playing pub quiz with your co workers! Seriously, when do you get paid to hang out and drink beer?! I hope some of you took advantage of this rare and golden opportunity. If only my day job was this cool…
So what did we learn this evening? Keanu Reeves is the best actor in existence. Yao Ming is the default answer for everything. Hester Prynne gets around and “boning” is fun to say on the mic. You guys are fun…can I keep you?
You know it's a party when the manager says to keep the noise down. We even had ourselves a dance off pants off!! When a clear winner couldnt be decided, we resorted to a push-up contest between Spicy Cluster Nutz and Psassins! I know someone got all that on video. PLEASE post it in the comments!
It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon at Von Tapps entertaining you fine folks. In all seriousness, you guys were single-handedly the most fun and exciting private party I have ever had the pleasure of hosting for. You guys made my job easy. If you liked this afternoons festivities, PLEASE come check me out at one of my quizzes! I would LOVE to see more of your faces!
Quiz Mistress Tabitha signing off...Cheers!
Last night at Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, co-workers said goodbye to a wonderful colleague, Raquel. Raquel has to spread her wings and move onto another job, but not before we enjoyed some drinks and laughs over a pub quiz.
We had 12 ladies playing on two teams against each other for the title over wine and salmon. Team Solid had a very serious and intelligent team leader, Jenny, who didn't turn anything in without proofreading and editing it first. She was hardcore! Raquel Rocks took a more subtle approach, but still very serious about their game and their answers.
Round 1: Duh! A Warmup Round- This was a fun round to get the ball rolling. Perfect scores by both teams, though I did see them sweat for a moment whilst figuring out Keanu Reeves nominations.
Round 2: Countdown- A fun round about movie countdowns, the power came in when you knew which Naked Gun movie it was, both teams weren't so lucky
Round 3: Thus Spake The Buddha, Muhammad, of Dr. Phil- I don't think the ladies were that impressed with my Dr. Phil impression, but they homored me, and for that I am eternally grateful (Dr. Phil?)
Round 4: You Aughtta Know- I can't even be sexist and say they were stumped on the football round, cause they weren't! Both teams had strong plays in this round, keeping up with their aught events.
Round 5: Get off Google Earth and do some damn work! (Visual)- Both teams scored very high on this round, missing Ayers Rock only. Nice work ladies, you use google earth more than I do!
Round 8: Random Knowledge - again, not tripped up by those crazy questions that come out of nowhere. Raquel Rocks dominated Team Solid by 3 points in this round, taking home the win for good!
We had a great time, Raquel had a great sendoff, and it was my first all female quiz and I LOVED IT!
Howdy, ya'llz!
I'm back from hosting a delightful special event for Enterprise Car Sales out in Rochester yesterday evening, and I spent my hour drive home scream singing Ke$ha musing on what to write up in the blog about this event.
So first and foremost, what lessons did I learn last night?
1. Don't wear a vest to host a business casual event. You will be severely mocked.
2. Martha Stewart was a whore. Yes. Not in the, "Boo, you whore!" way, but legitimate "I have sex with strangers so I can buy bread" way. And then she sold her teeth and her hair in 19th Century France. Wait. That was wrong. I was going for Anne Hathaway on that one.
3. Scream singing Demi Lovato really helps you think of great blogs to write. Er. I meant. Bach. And Mozart. And Nickleback. You know, all the great artists.
Honestly though, awesome crowd to work with. We had several teams playing, broken up into rather large groups, so it made the competition that much more fun. In first place, Fawls/Staniszewski took out competitors with a solid 74 points at the end of the game! Have to admit, I saw some seriously strategic (that's an alliteration, friends) joker use in this game, I was majorly impressed.
Alright everyone, I'm off to scream sing Disney songs go twiddle my thumbs and ponder metaphysics for the next few hours, until next time!

Oh, the places you go with Geeks Who Drink! This week, I got to travel to the top floors of Houston's own Reliant Energy Plaza for a fantastic private event quiz with the team at Porter Hedges.
We had various partners, attorneys, coordinators and summer associates all come together for some Geeks Who Drink brand quiz fun. Our questions took us around the globe with famous wonders of the world, then right back to Houston for some trivia on Texas' best city.
In between, GWD tested vocaubulary with some obscure words, then tested the sense of humour of all the good folk at the office with a round on Lawyers and Sharks (no offense meant!) Since the summer associates are learning about Porter Hedges there were even questions on the law firm itself.
While the scores were very close throughout the game, Johnny Five just refused to give up the lead, hanging on to a one-point advantage after almost every round. This carried them to a narrow victory and some shiny new medals. Here's our final scores.
Scores
Johnny Five - 54
Air Heads - 53
Wiki-Leaks - 51
The Flying (Flopping, Flaming) LeBrons - 50
Team Three - 46
Thanks to everyone who played tonight, you were a great crowd!
