I'm definitely more Geek than drink.  In my spare time I like to judge my friends who get my quiz questions wrong, play video games, watch terrible zombie movies ( a la Redneck Zombies), and stay away from carbs. 

You know when the pub quiz opens with a question about Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that the night can only get better...and I was right.  Tonight we learned that Marsupials have two pronged wangs and dual nooners (those lucky bastards!) - and keeping with that theme I had not one but TWO penises drawn for me.  Big thanks to team Honey Badgers Don't Give a Sshhhh and team Boners for Jesus for their delicious artwork.

 

You all seemed to really hate the re-imagined music to Round 7, or at least you did until you heard the answers at which point El Farol erupted in a chorus of "OOOHHHHHH!"

I will say, I'm not sure if I should be proud or scared of the fact that you all are so well versed in the legal age of consent throughout the United State - but I guess it's an important life skill outside of Kentucky, right?

Don't forget to bring in the answers to the secret question of the week next Monday - Mary Anne has had a monopoly on my slightly-naughty prizes and it's about time that someone else had a turn!

I thought that this week might have been low on inappropriate names since we were missing Balls Deep in Justin Bieber, but lo and behold, you all rose to the challenge like effing CHAMPS!

My favorite name of the night? 

The Santa Fe Steamers (It's like a Cleveland Steamer but You Add Green Chile).  Classic. 

You all really knew your akwardly rhymed video games tonight - AND you ruled at the State Haiku round.   I think it was the incredible ambiance that was created by the mellow, and incredibly theme appropriate, classical music I played fot that round.  Now that I've complimented you enough I can say that you guys really need to work on your Gary Busey/Mel Gibson factoids.  A lot of Jokers died that round, and there is nothing that should ever be sacrificed on the altar of Busey/Gibson.

Congratulations to team Droppin Loads who proved that two dudes on their own can kick ass at our Pub Quiz without the aid of a vagina to help with questions on musicals.  The next time we have a question on cocks I'm sure that the two of you will be the answer.

Next week don't forget to bring your best French jokes - and I mean jokes about the French, not told in French.  We speak 'Merican in El Farol!

Oh man, this was a great week at Geeks Who Drink.  Not only was there a Goonies reference, but I'm thinking someone got on Suggest A Round because we had yet ANOTHER question regarding porn....which you all had a ridiculously high percentage of correct answers on.  Seriously, 90% of the teams got the answer Behind the Green Door.  I'm going to wash all the pencils that you touched tonight, by the way....

We also had a audio round dedicated to the one and only Halle Berry.  Of course every team got the movie where she showed off her luscious boobies correct (at 1 million dollars per tit I'd hope they were memorable), but my favorite part was the fact that on number 8 (which no one got correct) you all just named any movie you could think of that had a majority black cast.  Don't believe me?  Here are the first few answers in order:
