Hello, my name is Jeremy and I'm a geek who drinks. What does it mean to be a geek who drinks? I have random knowledge on things like music. I can quote Pulp Fiction like it's no one's business. On my GPS Darth Vader tells me where to go. That's the fun part. The bad part is I also drink. When I drink, I write blogs that have the word "fuck" in it a lot. I make up stories of things that happened in my mind. I also delete my own bio and really don't remember doing it. Thankfully though, I never sucked dick for coke. That was Bob Saget. 

The moral of the story, it's ok to be a geek who drinks, in fact I encourage it. I encourage you to come down to my venue on a Monday or a Tuesday and drink it out with me. I'll quiz you, you give me right answers, and don't be a dick and shout anything out. 

Tonight I had the pleasure to sub at Casey's Bistro. I hadn't been there to sub since the night before I went to Geek Bowl, so I had a lot of memories come back of a great weekend in Austin. It was good to see the Wacko Jacko team. I haven't seen them since they made an appearance at Geek Bowl. 

 

Tonight's round 2 was about detox. Quite honestly, it sounded more like something that Michael J Fox would be listening to. A whole round on shaking and I immediately think of the worst Jenga partner in the world. 

Tonight our winning team featured a member that was about to get married. To you sir, I wish you the very best of luck. Remember these words of wisdom from a guy that's married and divorced. Choose your battles wisely. Her memory is much better than you think. She will remember things in a way that will suit her needs perfectly. Plus, she will have the last word. If you continue, it's a new argument and old wounds will be opened. Always communicate with her and treat her like the queen she is. Never miss a day to tell her that she is beautiful, especially if you can tell she's having a day where she feels anything but beautiful. Surprises and cards aren't just for Valentines Day. Get her a little something just because you are thinking of her. It doesn't have to be a ring, just a card will do the trick. Open and honest communication will go a lot farther than being deceitful. I wish you the best of luck and several years of happiness. Just because your team name was game over, it really just means that you won. 

 

Congrats to all three of our teams tonight who were all winners. Graham will be back next week. Thanks for being kind to me again.

Oh, what a difference a week makes. Last week I was slammed and we ran over time, this week... I had time to dance a jig and sing a song! I didn't. I want my teams to come back, but still I could have. Why are people afraid of the rain?? IT'S RAIN!!! Melted Snow! GET OVER IT!!!  ;-)  But seriously, why are people afraid of the rain? I'm I the only person that isn;t like the Wicked Witch of the West and will melt if touched by water? What the fuck is going on with these people???  I love mky faithful quizzers, however. They show no matter what! I love that! Is it me? or jus the quiz? I'd like to take the credit, and dammit, i will!  

 

The creative Juices weren't really flowing on this night. With names like Name TBD and  Insert Creative Name Here I immediatly knew what kind of night I was in for. Luckily, with only 3 teams, Everyone was a winner and will be back soon! I'm looking forward to see you all next week along with everyone we missed.

Well, It's all over. The Nuggets lost. There was hope near the end. So much in fact that we stopped play for almost 15 min so we could watch the end of the game. I, for one, couldn't watch. Too many disappointments in this playoff series. Too many disappointments in the game. It's time to move on. It's time to let go. It's time...to get some Rockies tickets and hope they don't blow it. Again.

Being a Denver sports fan is hard, and often disappointing. But you know what isn't? My sexy quizzing bitches at Caseys! Always entertaining and always faithful. Week after week, there they are. This week it was Kriss Kross 'll make ya Bump! Slump! (Too soon?) that came out with the win! Coming in Second was the situationally appropriate Nuckin' Fuggets, followed by the Duck-Billed PlattaPussy. It was a tight race all the way to the end.

That's all I have for you this week. I will continue to sob into a bowl of my own tears and come October I think I will be ok...Maybe.
