Why? Because Gordon Shumway is a classic ‘80s icon, and if I got to look at his cat-eating face every day, I could finally die happy. Sadly, it was cancelled after only 99 episodes of hell. You left us too young, oh master of Melmacian muppets. That is almost as bad as the, not one, but two douchebags we had tonight shouting out answers. I know you’re upset about ALF too, but that’s hardly an excuse to take out your woes on my instead of that therapist you pay for on a weekly basis. And yes, your daddy still hates you.

Things I learned this week:
- /r/RestroomReviews didn’t exist last night. It sure as hell does now.
- Cool Boarders was pretty rad, but it sure as hell was no 1080… amirite?!
- You all need to watch Unforgiven. It is WAY better than Dr. Doolittle; I promise.
- JJ Abrams’ headstone will contain lens flares.

Now don't get me wrong: the news was WONDERFUL (mostly) this week. Women rescued after a decade of captivity in Ohio, the end of the Jodi Arias's trial, homeless men with dancing mouchstaches... But really, if I accidentally open one more browser that has "news" in it, Imma become news myself.

In Trailhead note worthies: TH's own Megan should now be referred to as Nurse Megan! I would say she now needs to get a "real job", but I think taking care of my quizzers is real enough.

We had a lot of teams tonight. Not a butt-load, but enough to make it very, very competitive. And very, very loud by the second half. Seriously: you had the loud of quince-double teams.

I played great music tonight. It took awhile to find it. I searched high and low to find songs my quizzers would like. And did you? Andizzle hated it, and that made it all the more worthwhile.

Boy oh, boy. Have we come a long way since 1992's Amendment 2! CIVIL UNIONS are now legal, be they between homosexual life partners or hedrosexual life partners! Now if we can only rid our state of Article II, Amendment 43, Colorado will be ideal.

Speaking of "ideal", the weather was less than that tonight. I belive we can call it May Snowpocalypse 2013!!! Or we can just call it Colorado in May. Whatevs.

After quiz tonight, I learned a sad, sad fact: Chris Kelly (aka "Mac Daddy"), one-half of the 1990s rap duo Kris Kross, died today of an apparent drug overdose. He was my age: twenty one (plus thirteen, the age he was when he started Kris Kross). Poor bastard. I commemorate him with my favorite words of his and Chris Smith (aka "Daddy Mac"):

This is almost as sad as the death of George Jones.

And then there's all the Anne Frank bullshit...
