After playing at O'Neil's in Burque for years, Andrew moved up to Boulder and became the beloved and renowned QM we all know him to be. He hopes to one day make everyone in the world chuckle, just a little bit. Not a small feat, but he feels up to it.

Sometimes in life you feel like fate is uncertain and there isn’t much you can do about it. Then its quiz night, and you can forget all about that shit and just fucking play. Anyway, we had a great quiz tonight at the Sink. Hopefully we will have more like this in the future.

Round one was about Music Facts You Should Know. And for the most part you all did. Good job. I wonder what it would have been like to see the Beastie Boys open for Madonna. Concerts pairings were more creative in the 80s. If you don’t know who the great Dick Dale is, you sir are missing out. The first audio round wasn’t what I would call easy, but it was quite festive. With St. Patrick Day this Thursday we had a round of Irish Songs. I always get the Dropkick Murphys and Flogging Molly mixed up. The only group I felt was missing from this was Stiff Little Fingers. Oh well.

The multiple choice round was based around the year of my birth Before or After 1985. It feels good to be older than Ferris Bueller and License to Ill. Although I’m glad I wasn’t around for Diana and Charles wedding. I don’t care how beautiful it was. Round four was the awesomely named Arts and Crack. MC Esher is the shit. And Hunter Thompson. Marion Barry is not the shit, he is merely a piece of shit.

The visual round had you naming the Sex Product. I should say something about fleshlights, but my mother reads this sometimes and ya know. Watson was the only team that got Pocket Rocket, even though they are an all male team. Hmmm. Round six was about Hoaxes. It’s hard to believe anyone would think that spaghetti grew on trees, but British people like eels in their pies, so there ya go.

The second audio round featured clips from the filmography of one Arnold Schwarzenegger. His last name was once on a spelling test for me, years ago. Yeah, my school was weird. I was bummed out that Last Action Hero wasn’t used. Meh. As always, Random Knowledge closed out the night with State Capitols, Poland and Mount Logan. Only three could win, but first we had a dance off to determine 2nd place!
